Item Description

The vivid royal-blue color of these lustrous azurite crystals from the Hanover Mine compares with the best from Bisbee or Morenci and is far less common. A striking and beautiful, 1.3 cm, freestanding rosette highlights the sculptural miniature crust hosting numerous azurite crystals, contrasting malachite and uncommon clusters of tiny calcite rhombs. This very fine and uncommon combination is probably from the 1981 find at this mine.
