Azurite & Malachite cabochon (13 grams)

Item Description

Beautiful, rich azure-blue to nearly electric-blue, banded azurite with banded light and dark malachite form a sculptural, highly polished, striking and very fine cabochon. The azurite and malachite "eyes" in the center really add pizzazz. Even the back has gorgeous, banded. light green malachite with numerous eyes. Classic, older (1980s) and excellent material from the noted Morenci Mine. Mass is 13 grams or 65 carats. We found one more piece from the small lot we obtained in, of all places, an old collection at the Munich show.
