Azurite & Malachite

Highly lustrous, translucent, azurite crystals, to 2.4 cm, have gorgeous, rich "electric-blue" color under bright light. The azurites are richly clustered in the vug surrounded by chatoyant velvet malachite. The vug on the bottom left hosts malachite after azurite crystals. A fine compliment. The few broken azurites in the vug are certainly only a modest detraction. Showy, highly representative large material from a New Find at this less well-known gold and copper mine in Laos. Actually, I saw these start to trickle out a few years ago. Many came to the market in China, but of lower quality. They remain scarce for now.
