Item Description
Spherical aggregates of scintillating royal-blue azurite crystals and starkly contrasting bubbly velvet malachite botryoids fill a dramatic elongated vug in sculptural large matrix on this exceptional artistic combination specimen from this less well-known Chinese skarn and porphyry-type copper-gold deposit. The mine is near the better known Liufengshan Mine and produced a big pocket from which this came in about 2005. The mines produce very similar azurite and malachite specimens. This striking and colorful large piece has multiple fine display views. Valued at $600-800.
