Item Description

Well over a dozen nearly circular, blue patches of Azurite are distributed on a silvery off-white piece of Quartz-Feldspar-Muscovite schist from the mountains of Pakistan. Unique material! These striking blue patches range from a few millimeters to 1.5 cm across and as can be seen from the side, penetrate a few millimeters into the rock. The Azurite can also be found as elliptical sprays on the sides of piece within the layered texture of the rock. This is one of the most unusual occurrences of Azurite in the world. This is a large and very attractive piece from this unique occurrence! As jewelry or for metaphysical folks, this is cabochon material known as K2 or K2 Azurite Granite, and incredibly popular now as a jewelry product for all kinds of uses. In any case, this is a notable specimen of the unusual occurrence. Hefty and large at 1136 grams - and the cabochon material is actually sold by the gram, too.
