These are the best contemporary Azurites out there. Milpillas has given collectors some of the finest quality examples of the species ever seen with some of the sharpest, most lustrous and richly colored (often gemmy) crystals of Azurite from any world locality. Sadly, the oxidized zone is finished, and there will likely never be another crumb of this material to come out of this prolific locality again. With that said, if you're a fan of Azurites or specifically these pieces from Milpillas, don't miss out on this attractive specimen. The piece is filled with excellent quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, intense midnight blue crystals of Azurite which are accented by green Malachite here and there. The majority of the Azurite crystals are pristine, though there are a few small contacts here and there. The luster is very high for the species and the color combination of the Azurite with the Malachite is a true classic. The crystals honestly look better in person than the photos indicate.
