Item Description

Typically the Azurites from Morcenci can have a softer/lighter blue color and are often found in spherical aggregates comprised of thin bladed crystals. This piece shows a few excellent quality crystal from the standpoint of sharpness, color and luster. It honestly is approaching the quality of fine Azurites from Morocco, not quite Tsumeb. The blocky, amazingly sharp, VERY lustrous, well formed crystals of Azurite show an incredibly rich and almost electric deep blue color. The largest crystal measures 6 mm. Under magnification, one can see a small patch of light green Malachite. For the size and quality, this is worthwhile for an Arizona collector, or even a collector of Azurites or secondary ore minerals.
