A classic and highly aesthetic display specimen of Azurite on Malachite from the world famous locality of Touissit. Three crystals with the finest deep blue color, sharp faces, and high luster are protruding from a contrasting lively green Malachite "core". The main Azurite crystal is in superb shape with only the tiniest of "rubs" on one face, but the most impressive aspect is the fact that it has the most ELECTRIC internal blue color when backlit. Few localities in the world produce Azurite of this quality and to find crystals on matrix like this is certainly uncommon. For the beautiful color contrast, along with the excellent overall quality of the piece, it stands out as one of the best I have seen from Touissit in years. The mirror bright faces of the Azurite are certainly as fine as Tsumeb in my opinion. Valued at $1300-$1500.
