Item Description
A classic specimen of the famous Azurite "flowers" from Malbunka. This piece features a pair of "flower"-shaped groups or "suns" of Azurite that had formed in Cambrian Rocks, and was exposed and removed to show the beautiful form. The largest Azurite measures 1.5 cm across. A gorgeous miniature of this famous material from Australia. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12521). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
