A fantastic "floater" rose-esque specimen of Azurite from the Oumjrane Area in Morocco. This piece dates back to circa 2000 and is a wonderful example of this lesser seen material. The piece is filled with notably sharp, well-formed, "wedge"-shaped gorgeous blue colored crystals of Azurite measuring up to 1.1 cm flaring out in every direction from the center. As mentioned, the piece is a complete "floater", crystallized on all sides, with no point of attachment. Priced in our inventory at $1,500. This specimen comes to us from the illustrious collection of Jack Halpern of San Francisco, California. Jack is one of the most beloved figures in the mineral world.
