Here we have a beautiful complete "floater" Azurite specimen from Lavrion, Greece, one of the most historic world localities. The piece features the classic "rose"-style of crystallization that is well-known in Azurite. There is proof that mining has taken place for thousands of years at Lavrion, and the plethora of secondary minerals found around this area make it incredibly distinctive and well-known among collectors. This miniature sized piece is a showy and fine quality specimen featuring with a saturated blue color in good lighting. No damage, complete on all sides and a really choice miniature that is not commonly seen on the market in this style of crystallization from Lavrion.
The piece was mined in 2012 and comes from the collection of Christos Spiromitros.
