Item Description
One of the staples from Tsumeb is Azurite. Arguably the world's finest quality crystals of the species came from Tsumeb in a wide variety of habits. These specimens are a favorite not only among Tsumeb enthusiasts, but anybody who collects secondary ore minerals, copper minerals, and even general worldwide collectors. This specimen is a great example of Azurite from Tsuemb. The piece host a very sharp, highly lustrous, monoclinic, prismatic, midnight blue color crystals measuring up to 2.1 cm associated with minor Malachite aesthetically on a bit of matrix. The main crystal is undamaged on the display side (I found a tiny nick on the back), but one or two secondary crystals on the piece are not complete. The main crystal GLOWS with electric color when backlit! I don't have to tell you that the value of Tsumeb specimens seems to rise daily, and fine quality specimens are now highly sought after, and prized more than ever by dealers and collectors alike. From the worldwide thumbnail / miniature collection of Irv Brown.
