Item Description
An attractive specimen of Azurite from the famous Milpillas Mine. This piece features fine quality, sharp, rather lustrous, slightly gemmy, deep blue, bladed crystals of Azurite measuring up to 1.8 with no matrix. Good quality overall, with only minor imperfections. A tiny bit of green Malachite can be see on the reverse side of the piece. With some strong backlighting, the edges of the Azurites show a bit of bit of gemminess with a brilliant indigo color. Milpillas is finished in terms of the oxidized zone, so there will be no more Azurite specimens according to our sources.
