Azurite (fine quality)

Item Description

A fine quality miniature sized specimen of the world-famous and now classic Azurites from the Milpillas Mine. This locality will go down as one of the premier mines in the world for the species, as some of the finest examples of have been found there. Sadly it appears that the oxidized zone is mined out, and there will be no more of these world-class Azurites. This piece hosts a 2.7 cm group of intense deep blue colored Azurite crystals long with top luster and razor-sharp faces on white Dickite host rock matrix. The crystals are in fine condition, and I don't see any damage on the display side but there a few contacts on the top / back areas where the piece was removed from the pocket. The piece displays wonderfully as you can see from the photos. If you missed out on getting your hands on one of these outstanding specimens when they were more readily available, don't pass this one up as it's showy and great quality. This piece was mined in 2008, and we had it priced in the inventory at $1,500.
