Item Description
A classic display specimen of Azurite from the world famous locality of Touissit. A handful of deep azure blue bladed crystals with fantastic luster in a beautiful criss-cross arrangement make this miniature specimen a really showy Azurite and fine quality for the species and the locality. The crystals are sharp and very well-formed with just a slight amount of alteration to Malachite. The largest crystal measures 4.1 cm and they are sitting on a small bit of gossan matrix. The piece is in good shape overall, and the main crystal in the center is undamaged, while the outer edges of the specimen are contacted where the piece was removed from the pocket. When backlit, the crystals shows a bit of gemminess along the edges, and the color is so blue it's purple if that makes sense. A great piece to round out your Azurite suite, or even more specifically your collection of Azurites from Morocco. Priced at $2,500 in the inventory
