Item Description

This is a lovely small cabinet display specimen of Azurite on matrix from the famous Milpillas Mine in Mexico. This world-classic locality is now finished in terms of the oxidized zone, so there will be no more Azurite specimens found again. This piece features fine quality, sharp, rather lustrous, deep blue, bladed crystals of Azurite measuring up to 2.1 cm associated with green Malachite, beautifully set on contrasting white matrix. The piece is in good condition overall, though I can see some small imperfections on the Azurite when looking closely. When backlit, the Azurites show a bit of gemminess along the edges, with vivid indigo hues. Don't miss out on getting your hands on these specimens now because they are unquestionably some of the finest examples of the species ever found. Top pieces rank among the best Azurites from places like Tsumeb, Touissit or Bisbee. Valued $950.
