Item Description
Intergrown, highly lustrous, blocky, rich azure-blue azurite crystals form a very fine and aesthetic miniature from this famous locale. The impresssive large crystal is 2.9 cm long. Crystals of this size and quality are uncommon and are highly desirable. Most azurite specimens have bladed crystals. Complete all-around, nearly pristine and nearly a floater. A trivial bit of periphery wear is noted and the small attachment is on the back/base. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by 1875 and this is a most excellent example of a classic, rare form and species. Valued at $1500.
