Azurite (excellent large "rose") (classic material)

Here we have a fantastic, 100+ year old specimen of the famous, superb quality, highly sought after Azurites from the famous Czar Mine in Bisbee. This old locality was a major copper producer in the early 1900s, connected to the famous Copper Queen Mine, with deep shaft that ran well over 400 feet underground. Today it is still one of the most desirable mineral localities for Arizona Azurite collectors. This piece is an excellent "rose"-shaped group comprising beautiful, lustrous, sharp royal blue Azurite crystals on every side. The piece is nearly a complete "floater", but there is a small point of attachment on the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. You rarely seen "roses" of this size from the Czar Mine on the market, most are only miniatures or smaller, but this is an impressive small cabinet sized display specimen that would make a stellar addition to any collection. A great example of this supreme material from this famous mining district. Priced in the inventory at $5,500.
