Item Description
Azurite from Tsumeb is one of the great classics in mineral collecting. The piece is features a predominant, VERY sharp, highly lutrous, thick / stout, stepped, midnight blue color group of Azurite with good form and translucency around the edges associated with smaller Azurite groups off matrix. Though it's not 100% perfect (only trivial imperfections here and there), it's still in superb condition. With the price of Tsumeb specimens rising daily, this is a great opportunity to snag a classic specimen from what is considered by most people to be the most prolific mineral locality in the world. From the world-famous mineral collection of Dr. Ed David, a PhD electrical engingeer and the science advisor to President Richard Nixon and the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology from 1970 to 1973. Priced fairly at $2,500, were it 100% perfect, I could easily see it valued at $5,000+. HARD to photograph, BETTER in person!
