Item Description

Several wonderful, lustrous, rich blue color "rosettes" of Azurite associated with a thin layer of light velvety green Malachite on matrix from the classic locality at Morenci. This area has produced some of the most attractive Azurite and Malachite combinations from any locality in the world. Obviously, Bisbee is the premier Arizona locality for Azurite and Malachite association speciens, but Morenci produced some really eye-catching specimens over the years. This attractive display specimen features "rosettes" up to 1.5 cm across, and for the most part, the piece is in great shape. Semi-isolated "rosettes" of Azurite on matrix from Morenci are not terribly common, and certainly are worth picking up in this market.
