Item Description
Sparkly azure-blue azurite botryoids and azurite crusts that cover fluorite cubes line a sculptural 4.0 x 3.0 cm vug on this classic rich and showy combination from the historic Clara Mine. The small cabinet matrix is mainly colorless fluorite, but also hosts black Psilomelane (black Mn-oxides) and a bit of green Malachite as excellent accessories. This famous barite, fluorite, copper, silver and lead mine opened in 1726. Formerly in the Kay Robertson Collection # 4773 and acquired from Al McGuinness in 1966. Ex Wouter van Tichelen Collection and comes with two 29.8 x 21.0 cm glossy photos of the specimen, closeups and description. Excellent azurite, fluorite and accessories from this well-known mine.
