Azurite (DT) on Dolomite (fluorescent)

Item Description

Fine, doubly-terminated Azurite crystal, on matrix, from the great Tsumeb Mine. The Azurite crystal, 1.2 cm long, has lovely striations along every face, including the terminations. Though there is a bit of edgewear, the gemminess, superb luster, and overall appearance of this crystal on matrix more than compensate. The tan Dolomite matrix fluoresces red. A sharp and aesthetic thumbnail.
