Item Description
Sharp, isolated, blocky, highly lustrous, midnight-blue, azurite crystals are aesthetically scattered on sturdy matrix on this very fine older specimen from Touissit. The crystals reach 2.5 cm and patches of desirable "electric-blue" gemminess are visible under bright light. Blocky crystals of this style are uncommon from Touissit. Ex Dr. Ed David Collection. Ed was Science Advisor to President Nixon and has assembled several world-class mineral collections. Ed valued it at $1000. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! Azurite is notoriously difficult to photograph.
