Item Description
A beautiful and eye-catching display specimen of this most classic material featuring hundreds of highly lustrous, rich royal-blue Azurite blades forming a fantastic and very good sized "rose" from this most famous mining district in Arizona. Bisbee "roses" are the finest of their kind from Arizona - arguably the best in the world - and exceedingly desirable on the market today. This elegant, old-time specimen is a wonderful and worthwhile piece for any collector of Arizona minerals, copper species or secondary ore mineral. Overall the piece is what I would call mostly damage free, but there are a few contacts. The piece actually sits and displays beautifully without the aid of a base or clay, and looks wonderful as you can see from the photos. The piece comes with a UPC bar code sticker label that had the specimen originally valued at $4,900. If you've been searching for a Bisbee "rose", this one is certainly a great bargain for the $999 starting bid.
