Item Description
Next to the specimens from Bisbee, the Azurites from Morenci are certainly among the finest ever found in any locality in Arizona. This specimen is a thick, semi-"rose"-shaped group consisting o several blocky, rich midnight blue, sharp crystals of Azurite, free of matrix. There is a slightly reflective and almost "satiny" luster on the surface that looks beautiful when the piece is rotated in the light. The piece is crystallized on the front and back, though the back is contacted partially, so the specimen is not what I would call a complete "floater". A great piece for any fan of secondary ore minerals, worldwide Azurite or minerals of Arizona. Priced at $950 in the inventory.
