Item Description

Rosettes of lustrous navy-blue azurite blades glow with glorious electric-blue color under bright light on this fine plate from the famous mines at Chessy. The interior is pristine and the bit of noted periphery wear is certainly a modest detraction. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by 1875 and this is a most excellent example of a classic form and species. Ex Fioravanti Collection.
