Item Description

Excellent, sharp, lustrous, deep blue azurite crystals, to 1.4 cm, have glorious electric-blue highlights under bright light on this showy and excellent old-timer from the famous mines at Bisbee. Minor fibrous malachite is a nice accent. The contacted area in the center of the crystal cluster is noted, but there is very little actual damage. It's nearly pristine and displays well without aid. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Formerly in the Gilman Collection, according to Bob's label. Gilman was a collector and dealer in Bisbee from about 1890-1940. Collected circa 1940. Classic Bisbee.
