Item Description

This piece is several years old, and is NOT a contemporary specimen. This is a hard to find association specimen for Colorado. It features several spots of Azurite associated with deep green Malachite spheres with gemmy scalenohedral Calcite crystals on matrix. For a Colorado specimen, this is a pretty good piece from the Western Slope. I haven't seen many specimens from this mine over the years, and I don't think there will be many of them available in the future. I have photographed the specimen under the microscope to better illustrate the quality. If you're a Colorado collector, or a collector of secondary ore minerals, this is a good opportunity to add a hard to find piece from this lesser known locality in western Colorado.
