Item Description
A rarely seen locality specimen from the Christiana Mine No. 132 in the historic mining district of Lavrion, Greece. The piece features a slab of marble has been sliced and polished, revealing attractive medium blue Azurite along with soft green Malachite spots. I can't remember seeing another specimen from this mine that features marble matrix like this piece. We purchased the specimen directly from a friend in Greece, who personally collected it at the mine site, and sliced and polished it. If you collect secondary ore minerals, specimens from Lavrion or interesting colorful pieces, don't miss out on this one.
