Item Description

An old-time, showy and excellent azurite and Chalcoalumite specimen from the famous Copper Queen Mine and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Pretty, two-toned, royal-blue and azure-blue, banded, botryoidal azurite encases Chalcoalumite - note it LOOKS like bluish malachite and we had accidentally copied the original label without thinking, and labelled it as such. The blue-green material is, in fact, the rare mineral Chalcoalumite. The elongated, intergrown, rolled azurites on top are stalactites, as you can see the hollow centers, where the copper-rich solutions flowed. Classic, sculptural, and unusual combination material, that certainly dates to prior to World War I.
