Item Description
Here we have a beautifully contrasting specimen consisting of very attractive, highly lustrous, sharp, translucent, deep navy blue color (nearly black) crystals of Azurite with a small mint green patch of Malachite sitting on top of a gossan matrix. The luster is outstanding on these Azurite crystals. This piece has beautiful Azurites on both sides of the specimen, however the crystals on the display side are very good quality. The color contrast is just beautiful and truly resembles classic material from Bisbee, Arizona. The specimen displays well and really draws one's attention. For a specimen of this size, it is pretty showy and is one of the better pieces in this size range that I have offered in the auctions in a while. These specimens are commanding high prices, even from the Chinese dealers.
