Item Description
A sculptural and colorful specimen of azurite and malachite from recent Chinese finds. The sparkly, spherical aggregates of blocky, navy-blue azurite crystals have highly desirable "electric-blue" gemmy highlights under strong light. The 3-dimensionality of the piece and the contacting areas, where the azurite is cored with malachite and lighter azurite are especially noteworthy. And there are more vugs scattered on the back as an addtional bonus. The association with the malachite is an excellent compliment. The bit of periphery wear is noted, but nothing to detraction. Excellent and showy material from the well-known Liufengshan Mine. These compare favorably with classic Bisbee material, but at far less cost! MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
