Item Description
This is a very attractive cabinet display specimen of Azurite on Malachite from the prolific Liufengshan mine. It features hundreds of sharp, lustrous, midnight blue Azurite blades which have formed in "rosette"-shaped aggregates and single "blades" which are scattered atop light and dark mint green color, velvety botryoidal Malachite. The color contrast is just beautiful and truly resembles classic material from Bisbee, Arizona. The specimen displays well and really draws one's attention. For a specimen of this size, it is very showy and is one of the better pieces in this size range that I have offered in the auctions in a while. These specimens are commanding high prices, even from the Chinese dealers. Valued at $1500-$1800. Minimal damage and great aesthetic, three-dimensional form!
