Item Description
A beautiful and aesthetic combination specimen from recent finds in China. The vuggy, sculptural front of the piece is filled with sparkly, azure-blue, rosettes of azurite blades next to banded, velvet malachite. The azurite on the sawed back is remarkably different, being a rich, baby-blue. The quality of the azurite is outstanding. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction to this bright specimen. Chinese azurites of this quality compare very favorably with Bisbee material. High praise. Valued at $300-400.
