Azurite and Malachite

A striking and beautiful specimen from recent finds in China. The sculptural, 3-dimensional vug in sturdy malachite matrix is filled with scintillating rosettes of azure-blue, azurite blades. The azurite on the back is remarkably different, being lighter blue and mattte-like. The quality of the azurite is outstanding. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction to this excellent specimen. Chinese azurites of this quality compare very favorably with Bisbee material. High praise. Valued at $300-400.
