Item Description
A beautiful and aesthetic specimen from recent finds in China. The striking, vuggy front of the piece has shocking shades of "electric" royal-blue botryoidal azurite next to lustrous, chatoyant, banded, velvet malachite. The azurite on the back is remarkably different, being tiny, very pretty, sparkly rosettes of the royal-blue azurite blades. The quality of the azurite is outstanding. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction to this very bright specimen. Chinese azurites of this quality compare very favorably with Bisbee material. High praise. Valued at $300-400.
