Item Description
Azurite in sharp crystals, such as this, is very uncommon for China! This specimen features textbook sharp azurite crystals spread out and isolated on a contrasting malachite matrix. The matrix itself sure looks like it is from tsumeb, but it is not! It was purchased from a recent find some years ago, from a dealer who purchased it in China. It is indeed a surprise to see such a piece, but we have seen them - rarely. Crystals are small at 5-7 mm in size, but so bright and lustrous!
