Item Description
Beautiful 'bowtie' of super-lustrous Azurite, with bright green Malachite adding eye-catching contrast. The blocky Azurites radiate in opposite directions, creating the bowtie effect. The luster is mirror-like, and the deep blue color shows excellent flashes of azure. A very aesthetic thumbnail with brilliant color contrast, valued $300-400. From old workings in the first oxidation zone, probably prior to 1940
