Item Description
Two, sharp, diverging azurite crystals are altering to malachite and are preferentially coated on one side with chatoyant primary malachite of this very sculptural and aesthetic small cabinet from the famous Tsumeb Mine. The dealer label with this Mervyn Ford Collection says the well-known Mashamba West Mine, but MINDAT does not list azurite for that locale and the crystal style is unlike any shown in the MINDAT photo gallery for Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo.
