Azurite

Rarely do we see good Azurite miniatures/toenails these days from Tsumeb with exceptional form and luster like this one available these days. This is a well composed, aesthetic piece that has the richest azure-blue color. The stout crystal on the left measures 2.6 cm in length and has a perfect sidecar crystal in parallel growth. There is another large crystal jutting out from the side at nearly right angles that also has two smaller crystals in parallel growth and adds to the aesthetics. All of the crystals display incredible luster and have sharp, chisel-point terminations. It is superb for the size, with a style to it that makes it stand out. Ex. Herb Obodda dealer stock. Probably predates the 1980s, although it could be a later find.
