Item Description
Lozenge-sharp, lustrous, midnight-blue to royal-blue azurite crystals are densely clustererd on the mounded miniature matrix on this very showy and rich specimen from the now-famous Milpillas Mine. The impressive large crystal is 2.3 cm across and is doubly terminated. These crystals GLOW with "electric-blue" color under bright light. In excellent shape, with only one hard-to-see broken crystal noted near the edge and a trivial bit of bruising. A classic Milpillas azurite of this varietal with richness, fine form and good-sized crystals. The oxide zones have been mined through on this copper mine. These only go up in value from here...and this is an excellent, showy specimen.
