Milpillas is certainly the world's most productive azurite locality, and now the big finds are simply in the past and the production has slowed to a trivial amount. Of all the styles and the thousands of specimens that came out, the styles with large, robust crystals are the most uncommon and unique to the location. This cluster features very large, strikingly blue crystals to 4 cm across, with a rich color that does not need special lighting. In room light, it is good. In sunlight, it glows blue. Although there is some small rubbing damage to a few tips (visible only really on close examination), and to the back-right edge of that top crystal as we would display it, the piece overall is imposing and presents nicely in terms of display, and in fact it "looks like a million bucks" when standing in a showcase. Perhaps worth $5-10k if pristine, it is still a valuable and impressive display specimen, though at a lower price range. If you did not acquire some when the mie was producing in its heyday, perhaps 2010-2015, they are worth buying now and putting away for the future. From the style, this was probably found around 2010-2015.
