Item Description
A stunning, GEM azurite cluster of unusual quality for both the crystals themselves and their arrangement overall. Most azurite is azure on the surface, and opaque. These elegant, scimitar-like crystals are translucent when backlit, though. They have a rich color and glassy luster. Overall, this is a super miniature of high quality, hard to beat in the size and price range I would think. The large crystals measure 3.5 cm long. All are terminated, though the upper crystals have a slight contact junction on the back-rear of one of the terminations. This cluster is highly unusual for Tsumeb in style, more characteristic of what you might expect from Moroccan azurite in elegance (though there is no doubt of origin given the unique quartz&gossan matrix classic for tsumeb). Valued $2000-ish
