Item Description

An attractive thumbnail specimen of Azurite from the famous Milpillas Mine. This piece features fine quality, sharp, rather lustrous, deep blue, bladed crystals of Azurite measuring up to 1.4 cm on matrix forming a lovely overall specimen. The crystals are slightly gemmy near the edges when backlit. Good quality overall, but not perfect, hence the auction listing. These specimens are disappearing fast from the market, and from what we're hearing, the mine is finished with the oxidized zone, so they may never come out again.
