A FINE QUALITY historic Azurite specimen from one of the most classic localities in all of Europe, and the type locality for Azurite! Typically the Azurite specimens from Chessy are found in less than desirable crystals, but this piece is an actual GROUP of sharp, well defined, HIGHLY lustrous, midnight blue, blocky Azurite crystals forming beautiful "rosettes". Minor Malachite and Limonite can be seen on the back. It is very difficult for collectors to obtain fine quality specimens of this material today, and the fact that this piece hosts multiple crystals with STRONG LUSTER makes even more desirable.
