Wow! The 1.8 cm blocky azurite crystal on this striking and aesthetic piece looks just like a Mayan stepped pyramid with a platform at the top! And the smaller crystals behind it have the same features! The highly lustrous, dark navy-blue crystals have glorious flashes of electric-blue color under bright light. The crystals are pristine, except for the bit of periphery wear, which is certainly only a very modest detraction. This is a very rare unique style of azurite from Tsumeb. Striking and sculptural. Valued at $750-1000.
