Item Description

Azurite from Tsumeb is one of the most classic and highly sought after species on the planet. These specimens are no longer being mined, and they have some of the most distinctive and attractive forms of any mineral. This piece features an intergrown cluster of sharp, translucent, electric blue color (when backlit), bladed crystals of Azurite. The luster is excellent. The largest Azurite crystal measures 2.5 cm, and while it has a bit of edgewear, it does not detract at all from the beauty of the piece. A very attractive thumbnail specimen, and good quality for this historic locality. Tsumeb specimens are rising in value year on year
