Item Description
Pretty soft blue layered concretions of spherical azurite attractively cover both sides of the azurite crusts on this sculptural small cabinet from near this extinct open pit copper mine. The largest ball is 1.6 cm across. They resemble surreal mushroom caps from Alice in Wonderland or exotic blue Cambrian Period (541 to 485 MYA) algal mounds! A showy and very fine example of the species and locale. These came out about 10 years and there weren't that many, for how quick the market absorbed them. Unusually 3-dimensional!
