The beautiful Azurites from the famous Milpillas Mine in Mexico will go down as some of the finest examples of the species in history, which is really saying something when you think about all the top Azurite producing localities in the world. The oxidized zone is completely mined out, so we will never see any more of these amazing specimens. I'm sure you've noticed that they have quickly dried up from the market in recent years, and they will surely appreciate in value over time. This is an attractive display specimen featuring a predominant pair of very good quality, sharp, rather lustrous, deep blue crystals measuring up to 3.6 cm, sitting on a thin layer of stark white Dickite matrix. One of the crystals is in superb condition, but the other has a couple separation marks where it was probably intergrown with additional Azurite crystals, and came apart when it was removed from the pocket. Still a good specimen of this famous and now dwindling material. Priced at $900 in the inventory.
