Item Description
This is a lovely large thumbnail specimen of Azurite on matrix from the famous Milpillas Mine. By all accounts, this locality is now finished in terms of the oxidized zone, so there will be no more Azurite specimens according to our sources. This piece features a fine quality, doubly-terminated, sharp, rather lustrous, deep blue, blocky crystal of Azurite with minor green Malachite, beautifully set on matrix. The piece is in good condition overall, and I can't find any eye-visible damage on the main Azurite crystals. It's not easy to find a doubly-terminated, isolated crystal of Azurite on matrix like this from the Milpillas Mine. Don't miss out on getting your hands on these specimens now because they are unquestionably some of the finest examples of the species ever found.
